Saturdays July 13th, 20th & 27th from 9:30am to 11:30am
Course Outline:

  • Basic Color Theory

  • Covering the blank page

  • Adding color

  • By the end of the class, you will have all the skills you need to create your own journal pages & a journal to take home to continue creating.

  • $15 per class: Take one or all! Each class is a stand-alone class.

This class is aimed at beginners or anyone looking to learn new journaling techniques. No previous knowledge or skills are required. All ages welcome!

Summer Art week for 4-6 yr olds, 7-10 yr olds and 11 and up.

SUMMER ART at the Bothwell is sure to be your child’s summer highlight! These crazy creative art lessons are taught by professional artists at the Bothwell Arts Center in Livermore. Summer Art at the Bothwell has three age groups: 4-6 year olds, 7-10 year olds and 11-+ year olds. Each week has a different theme, and many different media will be used: watercolor, acrylic, collage, mixed media, clay, chalk, charcoal, pencil. Multiple fun projects will be created: canvas, paper, sculptures, fabrics, murals, and more!

Artists are welcome to informally "Show and Tell" a piece of their artwork at the Bothwell Arts Center at 2466 Eighth Street in Livermore on the second Sunday of every month starting in 2019 from 10:15 am to 11:45 am. Spring Break Art at the Bothwell

SPRING BREAK ART at the Bothwell is inspiring and creative! Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of Spring Break will be filled with fun, interesting and creative art. Three age groups are offered: 4-6 year olds, 7-10 year olds and 11-18 year olds.  A variety of media will be used: watercolor, acrylic, collage, mixed media, clay, chalk, charcoal, pencil.  Multiple fun projects will be created on canvas, paper, sculptures, fabrics, and more!  $190 for three full days.

7-10 and 11-18 year olds: Weds, Thurs, Fri  10am - 4 pm: $190

4-6 year olds: Weds, Thurs, Fri   10am-12:30pm or 1:30-4pm; or   $85 for half days; $190 for full day 10-4

On your next excursion create a memory to treasure in 25 minutes or less! Pocket Sketching technique is easy to learn, compact and portable to use and quick to complete. No experience needed. Adults 18+ join the fun! You only need a water soluble pen, 4 x 6 pad of paper, a small paint set and brush to sketch in black and white or color.

Its so portable! You can use it while hiking, biking, sauntering, sirtting in a cafe,mat the airport, in a plane, on a bus or a park bench.

Its so quick! In the time it takes to sip a cup of coffee or tea, you ca create a memory of the moment.

Mosiac Workshop

This fun one day workshop will give you an opportunity to learn understand mosaics while at the same time create a piece using the direct method. Explore design layout, cutting techniques, tile choices, and grouting your piece. All tools, tile, adhesive and grout will be provided.  Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and bring a pack lunch.
