Figurative Art exhibition at the Bothwell

Livermore Art Association and The Bothwell Arts Center invite the public to their 9th annual Figurative Art exhibition.  

The exhibition is free and the public is invited. Local artists are showing and selling their latest works with the human figure as the main focus. Many of the artists who are in the show attend the Bothwell’s Figure Drawing Workshop which meets everyFriday.  The show is one of the few outlets in the area where nudes are allowed and encouraged. Figurative art includes portraits and clothed figures as well. The variety is endless! Fill your home with beauty and support local artists at the same time!

When: May 19th -21st: Open Daily from 11:00 - 4:00
    Reception & Awards Ceremony: May 20th 7:00-9:00

 The show is open for three days and the public is invited to come to the at the Bothwell Arts Center, during the open hours 11:00 - 4:00 Friday May 19th through Sunday, May 21st. The reception is Saturday evening, May 20th, 7:00 - 9:00. 
Awards will be presented at 7:30. The final award will be the "People's Choice" ribbon. Make sure you vote for your favorite piece when you visit the exhibit.

Our Judge will be Jacob Hankinson. A native of the Bay Area, Jacob Hankinson began his career as a self-taught artist before attending the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. His work is traditional in nature, placing an emphasis on draftsmanship and using the human figure as a tool to explore design, composition, and the interplay of light and shadow. He currently shows and teaches throughout the Bay Area. He won best of show in The Essential Figure show a few years back.

The show will also be featuring a sales table with unframed art from the participating artists. Many bargains to be had!
Throughout the exhibition's three days, there will be artists demonstrating various mediums.
On May 21st, the final day of the show, the winner of the "People's Choice" award will be announced at 3:30.
